The article presents a musical critique of the composition "Apparebit repentina dies," by Paul Hindemith. Information regarding the cyclic partitioning and Baroque musical forms of the composition is provided. Also discussed are the composition's musical movement I, III, and III, tonal relationship theory, and its tonic-dominant polarity.
