Title
Jewish College Freshmen.
Abstract
This article reports that Jewish freshmen differed consistently and characteristically from non-Jewish freshmen in the U.S. Jews entered college younger, attended colleges farther away from home, came from more prosperous homes and had better educated parents. They were more active artistically and literally, had higher academic aspirations for themselves, and held more liberal views. They also expressed higher self-esteem. As adults, greater proportions of Jews than others were working toward doctorates and professional degrees.
