- Abstract
The article focuses on the characteristics and life span of the sun. It is said that stars have different masses which indicates the life span and all stars are considered to be main sequence stars. It is noted that the sun is recognized as low mass star in which it will fuse hydrogen into helium and slowly increase its core temperature and brightness and in near future the supply of hydrogen in the sun will run out. It is cited that when the helium fusion, carbon fusion, and expansion of the sun ends, it will die out and turn into carbon dust and gas.
