- Abstract
The article describes the strategy employed by a group of science teachers in teaching astronomy. The group developed a project that assists students in discerning the relative distances between Earth and stars, think in different dimensions and acquaints them to the constellation myths of diverse cultures. Several teams were created based on their abilities and each were assigned a specific constellation followed by a series of tasks and procedures. Worksheet questions were presented to the students after the process to assess if the students understand the implications of the project. The students admitted that they enjoyed the creative nature of the activity.
