The article discusses the use of chilled beams combined with dual energy recovery for laboratory applications in a particular building in the U.S. According to the author, discussing the use of chilled beams is an important topic since laboratory buildings use an estimated 10 times more energy than traditional office buildings. The article also discusses a description of an approach that could reduce the energy required for cooling, heating and fans which are important factors to make a building comfortable to stay.
