- Abstract
The Journal of Membrane Biology has a new Editor-in-Chief, Amitabha Chattopadhyay, who has taken over from Alexey Ladokhin. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the journal has performed well, with various parameters related to its health improving. To continue navigating these challenging times, the journal is initiating a Special Issue on the role of membranes in the pore-formation mechanism of pore-forming proteins and toxins. The journal is also actively working to broaden its Editorial Board, adding five new members to increase geographic and gender diversity. The goal is to capture the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary membrane biology and become a vital part of global membrane biology research.
