- Abstract
The article focuses on the significant fiscal problem faced by Great Britain and the way it is dealt with through making an important change in its policy. It cites the removal of a structural deficit of six percent of gross domestic product (GDP), which requires notable increases in taxes as well as cuts in public spending. The author stresses the importance of making quick extension of working lives as a way to increase consumption and to reduce the burden on future generations.
