- Title
Capital investment drives growth in East Asia.
- Abstract
The article offers an economic review on capital investment that drives growth in East Asia. According to the report, the major economies of East Asia expanded briskly in the opening quarter of 2007, following strong performances at the end of 2006 and lending further evidence to diversification away from dependence on U.S. demand. It states that the combination of low interest rates, in line with modest and falling inflation, and a rapid increase of foreign exchange reserves across the region has fueled strong growth of liquidity across much of East Asia.
