- Abstract
The aim of this research is to examine the communication concerns and organizational commitment of teachers working at all educational levels in public schools. The study group of the research consists of volunteer teachers who participated in the study with the convenience sampling method from the teachers working in public schools in Isparta in the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. Correlational Research was used in the research. Communication Apprehension Scale and Teachers' Organizational Commitment Scale were used as data collection tools. Pearson Correlation coefficient was calculated to examine the relationship between communication apprehension and organizational commitment. As a result of the calculated coefficient, no significant relationship was found between teachers' organizational commitment and communication apprehensions. In addition, Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) test was preferred for the significant difference test of both dependent variables and independent variables. However, the assumption of multivariate normality, which is one of the assumptions of MANOVA, could not be met, so Wilks Lambda test was performed using the nonparametric version Robust One-way MANOVA, rrcov (1.5-5) package instead of MANOVA via R Studio Team (2020) program. In addition, it was tried to determine whether the communication anxiety levels and organizational commitment of the teachers differed significantly according to the variables of teachers' gender, age, seniority, education level, nutrition opportunities at school, transportation conditions to school, communication between teachers and managerial attitude. As a result of the analyzes, there was no significant difference between the communication apprehension levels of the teachers and the demographic variables, but it was determined that there was a significant difference between their organizational commitment and gender, the level of education they worked in and their managerial attitudes.
