- Abstract
This article explores the foundations that sustain collective experiences with the neutral mask in educational contexts. Ten interviews are conducted throughout 2020 --between Paris and Leon-- to Gisèle Barret (Oran, 1933), pioneer of "dramatic expression" in the 70's --in Canada and France--, which in the 90's expanded its practice with the neutral mask in Spanish-speaking countries. This series of conversations allows us, in addition to the recognition of an enormous pedagogical legacy, the systematic exploration of didactic resources --in particular objects and music--, as well as immersion in the concepts of body presence and transdisciplinarity. The mask, with this methodology, is revealed to us as a treasure depository of a transcendental conception of the theatre and the arts of the body, on which weigh, in addition, all the doubts, paradoxes and suspicions about our modes of transmission or facilitation.
