- Abstract
This article defines the development of a kid toys kit intended for pre-primary school children (3-6 years-old) to enhance their development, with the intention of introducing them in disadvantaged regions as an alternative to conventional toy donations. The work is divided into three phases: 1) In the analytical phase, an investigation is carried out on the importance of the game during childhood, focusing on the needs of pre-primary school kids. To this end, the benefits of the game and toys have been studied through a market study, including the current regulations for the design of toys. Likewise, we have studied the problems affecting children today, the expansion of child poverty, and social projects that promote the game among the most disadvantaged children. We have concluded with some indispensable requirements when developing the toy kit. 2) In the creative phase we have carried out the conceptual development of the toy pack defining each of the elements. Once designed, they have been modeled in 3D and photorealistic images have been obtained through a rendering process. 3) In the executive phase, all the technical aspects necessary to produce the toy kit have been determined. We have selected the materials and the manufacturing processes, including all the necessary technical drawings and studding the environmental impact. This phase includes the structural calculations, a feasibility study an economic estimation and the design of a logistics and distribution system. The goal has been achieved by developing a set of economic, safe, light, hygienic, and varied toys which stimulated the child in its different skills and needs during the pre-primary school stage.
