- Abstract
The general purpose of this research; to determine the problem solving skill levels of school administrators and to determine the related variables. The universe of the research consists of school administrators working in Istanbul Üsküdar District. The research was carried out on 159 managers determined by convenience sampling method. Research data were collected using the survey method. In the first part of the questionnaire, which consists of two parts, there are questions to determine the descriptive characteristics of managers. The second part of the questionnaire included the problem solving skill scale. Evaluation of the data obtained from the questionnaires was done in computer environment. Frequency and percentage were used to analyze the descriptive characteristics of the managers, and the average standard deviation statistics were used to determine the problem solving skills of the managers. The t-test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between two independent groups, and the One-way Anova test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between more than two independent groups. The findings were evaluated at the 95% confidence interval at the 5% significance level. As a result of the research, it was determined that the problem solving skill levels of school administrators were quite high and there were differences in problem solving levels according to gender and taking the course.
