- Abstract
The article focuses on the study conducted by the authors on formation of graphene-based hierarchical architectures by non-covalent chemical functionalization of pristine graphite with perylene diimide (PDI) surfactants. It is suggested that by the exfoliation of graphite and the attachment of tailor-made cationic PDI surfactants to FLG fl akes, positively charged functionalized 2D graphene-based hybrids can be formed and formation of ultrathin films is described.
