- Authors
Werner, Ray O.; Kirk-Duggan, Michael A.
- Abstract
The article presents U.S. legal cases and developments in marketing relative to the regulation of product characteristics. In 1985 amendments were announced for the Textile Fiber Products Identification and Wool Products Labeling Act. Under the altered rules all labels must contain the generic name of the constituent fibers composing 5% or more of a product's weight. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) published 1985 compliance guidelines for the Rule on Funeral Industry Practices. The guidelines include preparing a list of goods and services to furnish to consumers.
