- Title
GRADE LABELING FOR CANNED FRUITS AND VEGETABLES.
- Authors
Mossman, F. H.
- Abstract
It may be concluded that the use of grade labels for canned fruits and vegetables has become a distinctive part of the marketing structure. The sales test referred to above makes it apparent that there is a paucity of data concerning the degree of consumer "preference" for either federal or private grades. Hence, conclusions which are posited must be of a very tentative sort, awaiting more detailed and positive proof. It is also seen that the opposition to federal grades is conditioned, perhaps, by other than pure objective considerations.
