The opening remarks for the symposium "The International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg: Examining Its Legacy 75 Years Later," given by Colonel Sean T. McGarry at The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia on November 19, 2021, are presented. Topics discussed include the phases of the commemoration of the Nuremberg Trial, efforts of the designers of the tribunal to protect the judicial process, and the value of public record.
