- Abstract
A reprint of the article "Norman Mailer: A Man of Letters Inspired by the People of the Book," by Ezra Cappell, which appeared in "The Forward," is presented. It explores the Jewish theme applied by American novelist Norman Mailer in his life and works. The Jewish ideas of Mailer including demonstration of loving kindness, Jewish values and beliefs are presented. The article also notes that the works of Mailer such as "The Gospel According to the Son," "The Castle in the Forest," and "On God: An Uncommon Conservation" reflect the culture of Judaism.
