- Abstract
The article discusses the use of digitalization in dentistry and how it has transformed the dental practice. It highlights several areas where digitalization has been beneficial, including digital imaging, CAD-CAM and 3D printing, practice management software, tele-dentistry, and augmented reality. Digital imaging has improved image quality and reduced patient exposure to radiation, while CAD-CAM and 3D printing have allowed for accurate restorations. Practice management software has made scheduling and patient record management easier, and tele-dentistry enables remote consultations. Augmented reality offers students a simulated environment for practicing clinical procedures.
