- Abstract
The article discusses the study on the impact of genetic merit for fertility traits on lactating dairy cows' reproduction conducted at Moorepark in Cork, Ireland. The study was reportedly started in 2007 wherein the cows were managed as one herd in compliance with a regulation for pasture-based milk production. Other topics include the physiology of cows from three weeks before calving to three weeks after calving and a method to improve fertility traits without affecting milk production.
