- Abstract
An essay is presented on the political importance of the immigrant votes during the presidential election of the U.S. in 2012. It states that immigrant political participation has altered the demographic landscape of American politics. It discusses the aspects of urban politics for understanding immigrant political participation on the basis if three models including governance-the machine city, the reform city, and the fragmented city.
