- Authors
Otto, Dianne
- Abstract
The article discusses international gender norms as of June 2011, focusing on feminist views towards international law, the relationship between utopianism and hopefulness, and the search for a utopian strategy for change in the international outlook on gender and human rights. Several international resolutions on women, peace, and security are addressed, including a focus on sexual violence and the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of women worldwide. The need for the development of a symbiosis between activism and critique is also mentioned.
