- Authors
Patel, Nehal A.; Vella, Lauren
- Abstract
The article reflects on the thoughts of Indian social activist Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi also known as Mahatma Gandhi to examine the legal issues related to Nestle Waters North America Inc., a business unit of the beverage firm Nestle SA, in accordance with the court case Michigan Citizens for Water Conservation v. Nestle Waters North America Inc. (MCWC). It states that Gandhi's writings strengthen conceptions of environmental jurisprudence of law scholars. It states that the MCWC has filed a civil action against Nestle for the illegal use of a waterway in northern Michigan and also mentions briefs submitted by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and the National Wildlife Federation.
