- Abstract
This study explores the management and application of circular economy principles to the production of noise barriers in order to reduce the environmental impacts and increase resource use efficiency. Using a comprehensive methodological framework that includes a literature review and a case study analysis within a noise barrier manufacturing company, the study uses the Circular Canvas tool to map and prioritise circular opportunities in the production process. The findings reveal significant potential for improving the sustainability of noise barrier production through the adoption of circular economy practices, such as sustainable material use, resource optimisation and eco-design principles. Applying these practices not only underlines the environmental benefits, but also adds value by providing a pathway to more sustainable process management.
