- Abstract
The 4th edition of the World Health Organization (WHO) blue book,[1] considers pigmented basal cell carcinoma (BCC) as a specific low-risk variant. We present photographs of five BCC cases to demonstrate pigmentation in different variants of BCC (see Fig. a,b). Therefore, a nodular BCC showing pigment would be considered a nodular pigmented BCC and a superficial one would be superficial pigmented BCC, etc.
