- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses the restrictive cultural policy in Bosnia-Herzegovina under Austro-Hungarian rule. The author explains Austro-Hungarian laws that regulated cultural life in the country through the restriction of public meetings, the closure of public offices initially established by the Ottoman Empire, and repression of the Serbian Orthodox Church and teachers in Serbian confessional schools. Other topics examined include the introduction of mandatory German-language education, Bosnian language policy, and the restriction of autonomy for the Serbian Orthodox Church and its communal schools.
