- Abstract
The article focuses on an anterosuperior mesotympanic mass that has been found in a 7-year-old boy, referred for an evaluation. It says that physical examination showed the presence of a small white mass in the anterosuperior mesotympanum that has been diagnosed as a congenital middle ear cholesteatoma. Accordingly, congenital cholesteatomas are more common in boys than girls. It also mentions that tympanotomy with complete removal is the treatment of congenital middle ear cholesteatoma.
