- Abstract
Transformation leaders transform organizations therefore this leadership style should be a natural fit for National Board Certified teachers who pursue certification to enhance their teaching ability in order to transform their classroom into true learning experiences for students. But what do principals really know about the National Board Certification process? While many leaders understand that is has some prestige, do principals know the five core propositions of National Board Certified Teachers or the process by which teachers obtain National Board Certification? The purpose of this study was to explore the difference in principals' knowledge of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in low performing schools and principals of high performing schools.
