- Abstract
This article discusses the nationalization of the political parties in Mexico during the period from 1994-2012. The author comments on the impact of the presidential elections in the country over this period on the process of nationalization. He also considers the geographical division of electoral areas in Mexico in an attempt to homogenize the election process. Several political parties, including the Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), the Partido Acción Nacional (PAN), and the Partido de la Revolución Democrática (PRD) are also examined.
