- Authors
Mouflard, Claire
- Abstract
The article critiques the book "Tu t'appelleras Tanga," by Calixthe Beyala, focusing on themes of colonial abuse and French imperialism in Africa as they relate to the author's admitted plagiarism. It explores Beyala's writing mechanisms and style as a form of commentary on subaltern identities, as well as a comparison of the use of white and black bodies in the book. It uses feminism, postcolonial theories, and minority literature studies as the basis of its criticism.
