- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of authenticating the date of a computer hardware of other electronic components for prior art investigations. It says that interpreting and locating the date codes is more art than science, wherein if date codes are identified, they can be a reliable evidence in a courtroom. Furthermore, it notes that date codes are reliable for determining the correct manufacturing dates of specific components.
