- Abstract
Concrete is widely used in civil engineering as structural material. Many of standard and guide must be implementation of slump test which used been control of properties of fresh concrete. In today, improvements of admixtures sector were possibility produced of self compacting concrete (SCC), at these concretes produced as high slump is indispensable accomplished as extra sensitive and controlled of slump test. However, reliability of standard slump test can be decrease because its reliability depends on experience and knowledge of operator. In this study, a new modified slump test apparatus was developed to prevent any mistakes depending on operator during the slump cone has been lifted up. In addition, changing of experimental parameter were investigated at concrete mixtures of water/cement ratio in the range of 0.50 and 0.55 respectively by using two operators. According to obtained results, we observed that the developed apparatus is more sensible and repeatable than two operators.
