An essay is presented on the work of philosopher and aphorist Emile Cioran. It profiles Cioran who was an iconoclast and self-identified exile whose work varies in form ranging from philosophical essays to aphorism. It explores his participation in the Iron Guard movement as a college student which has caused outrage. It is the author's view that Cioran's works after he fled from Romania was his attempt to exorcise his demons.
