- Abstract
The article presents a study on the associations between habitat factors and owl occupancy of Flammulated Owls (Psiloscops Flammeolus) and Northern Saw-whet Owls (Aegolius acadicus). Spacial models on species occupancy were applied in a Geographic Information System to study land cover and topographic factors related to owl occupancy and to predict spatial distributions within the Boise National Forest in Idaho. These were found to be useful in choosing suitable habitats for their conservation.
