- Abstract
The Nordic Cardio-Oncology Society (NCOS) aims to unite oncologists, hematologists, and cardiologists in the Nordic countries to improve collaboration and share medical knowledge. The Nordic countries have a combined population of over 27 million and face high rates of cancer and cardiovascular disease. The NCOS was established in 2019 and focuses on promoting clinical studies, implementing guidelines, and facilitating collaboration through physical and virtual meetings. The society also emphasizes the need for research on cardiovascular complications in cancer patients and personalized risk assessment and management during treatment.
