The article discusses a study on the effects of tourniquet ischaemia and time safety in toe surgery. Topics covered include the appropriate application time of a toe tourniquet to avoid risk to local tissues, the association of the length of tourniquet time on the development of post-operative wound hypoxia, causing delayed wound healing, and complications related to using any type of peripheral limb tourniquet.
