Abstract
The article focuses on the security regulations in the U.S. that cover dual-use research, such as the use of biological weapons, which is a research that could also pose public danger. Biosecurity spending in the U.S. amounts to $41 billion between 2001 and 2008, which is ten times larger than the amount spent before the terrorist attacks of 2001. Efforts made by the government and the consequences regarding this issue are also presented.
