- Abstract
The article discusses the threat posed by food culture and agricultural policies in the U.S. on food security among the poor, farmers, and indigenous peoples in the world. Particular focus is given to the problems arising from U.S. food exporting to China and India. It examines how the obesity epidemic in the U.S., which is said to be a result of its food culture and industrial agriculture model, is also being exported to the rest of the world. It notes that vegetarianism has direct impact on global warming and food security.
