- Title
The accuracy of ventilator logbooks in calculating the environmental burden of inhalational agents.

- Abstract
We read with great interest the Science Letter by Gandhi and Baxter [[1]] looking at the accuracy of volatile agent consumption recorded in ventilator logbooks vs. that measured directly with an industrial balance. While we agree that efforts should be made to secure accurate data on volatile agent consumption, when looking at environmental impact the logbook dataset still provides a wealth of valuable information, and we do not want to risk throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
