- Abstract
The article describes the utilization of the Clifton YouthStrengths Explorer assessment developed by Gallup Organization to students at Oak Grove-Bellemeade Elementary School in Richmond, Virginia. It notes that students bring numerous challenges to school, such 95 percent of students at the school receiving free or reduced lunch. Further, it states the holistic approach employed by the school to meet the students' need for generosity, independence, mastery, and belonging. It emphasizes the need for the school's step team to deliberately plan and organize to develop the students' organizational skills.
