- Abstract
The article traces the path of mentally ill offenders when they encounter criminal justice system in the U.S. It determines the points of potential relief from the existing crisis. It notes that their path does not need to lead to disciplinary problems. It believes that their needs can be provided by the communities offering training, coordination, treatment and community services.
