- Abstract
This article, published in the journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, presents a study that aimed to construct a prediction model for adverse pregnancy outcomes in fetuses with umbilical artery thrombosis (UAT). The study included 182 singleton fetuses, of which 82 had UAT. Using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression method, the researchers identified five predictive features, including a history of maternal diabetes, coagulation, umbilical artery pulsatility index (UA-PI), middle cerebral artery pulsatility index (MCA-PI), and ductus venosus pulsatility index (DV-PIV). The researchers constructed a nomogram prediction model based on these predictors, which accurately predicted the adverse pregnancy outcome of UAT. The study concludes that the multi-index prediction model for UAT is feasible and has good predictive value.
