- Abstract
In this article the authors discuss data sharing conflicts between clinical research organizations and the pharmaceutical companies that fund the research in the U.S. They view on the factors that have driven the condition including the use of research data that are not specifically consented to by the participants. The authors suggest sharing data with pharmaceutical firms through the application of the principles of beneficence and respect for persons.
