- Title
A NOT'E ON WHEN THE SLEEPER WAKES AND HEART OF DARKNESS.
- Authors
Dryden, Kinda
- Abstract
The article discusses two books "Heart of Darkness," by Joseph Conrad and "When the Sleeper Wakes," by H.G. Wells. Cornad and Wells were in close contact during the writing of "The Heart of Darkness," and letters had been exchanged for sometime which led to friendship and mutual admiration. It is speculated that Cornad discussed the story and its style with Wells during the writing process. Speculation arises because of Well's mentions of the story in his novel "When the Sleeper Wakes." It seems that Wells was indeed in Cornad's confidence during the composition of the story and they nay have discussed issues surrounding it.
