- Abstract
The main objective of this study was to develop an educational technology in the format of a professional training course on management of late adverse events in cervical cancer survivors, for nurses working in Primary Health Care, Municipality of Iranduba-AM. Method: Study of qualitative approach having the Assistential Convergent Research as methodological reference. The phases of convergent care research were observed: conception, instrumentation, scrutiny, analysis and interpretation. These were correlated with the stages of technology construction based on the scientific-professional needs reported by Primary Health Care nurses. The sample size was 19 nurses working in basic health units in the municipality of Iranduba-AM. The primary data collection was performed through semi-structured recorded and written interview, in a second moment, made convergence groups. The data obtained were compiled, tabulated and triangulated. Results and Discussion: After the analysis of the interviews, the sociodemographic and professional characteristics of the interviewees acting in PHC revealed a predominance of females, time of performance in Primary Health Care and in the enrolled area varying from 3 months to 4 years; only 04 professionals knew the National Policy of Oncologic Care, 17 participants had specialization, and only 01 in oncology. Most professionals were unaware of the existence of cancer patients in their area of care. Most of the interviewees reported having little knowledge about oncology, only superficial and quickly in the academy. Regarding chemotherapy and radiotherapy, "no" was prevalent, only a very superficial contact during their curricular internships. Conclusion: The creation of a technology in the form of a course is essential for the training of these professionals, since they are unaware of the late adverse events caused by chemoradiotherapy. In this perspective and analysis, the construct of this study may be a definition of flows and appropriate and humanized therapeutic strategy in the services of that municipality, aiming at the training of nursing professionals and the practice of care based on scientific evidence. Also the possibility of replication and training of professionals who work in other municipalities of the Metropolitan Region of Manaus.
