The article discusses the definitive concept and useful framework in understanding bankruptcy in relation to bailouts in the U.S. It focuses on the issues of financial firms' interaction, systemic risk, financial distress, leverage, and regulatory reforms which are key elements of bankruptcy whether it is good or bad to the company. Mainly, it presents the concepts on cases like debt overhang and creditor runs, and the views on bankruptcy law and firm-specific solutions to financial distress.
