The author reflects on various issues related to world wide web. He mentions the benefits of electronic mail systems and other electronic communications such as the ability to communicate quickly, have immediate access to reliable information and network with large numbers of individuals with ease. He also relates his visit to the Oakland branch of Carnegie Library which, according to him, has about forty workstations scattered about the room. Meanwhile, he says that the .com era is over, while the Web 2.0 era is just beginning.
