- Authors
Boldt, Jeff
- Abstract
The article reports on the ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1-2010, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Raise Residential Buildings, and its impact on health-care facilities in the U.S. Topics include the scope of the new standard, its difference from the previous version of Standard 90.1 since 1999, and the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) changes. It notes that health-care facilities are affected because the Standard 90.1 bans constant air volume central HVAC systems.
