- Abstract
The article discusses the energy conservation program at the Empire State Building in New York City. It notes that the program aimed to reduce energy consumption by 38 percent. Empire State Building owner Anthony E. Malkin stated that environmental responsibility of buildings include reduction of energy use and carbon footprint. Details of the eight initiatives to be focused in the program are also provided.
