- Abstract
The article discusses the use of the BACnet computer network building automation protocol technology, developed by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), by the Douglas County School District in Denver, Colorado. The author highlights the Internet-based interface for controlling 55 of the districts 70 buildings from one central location. The author also provides information on how the schools district came to choose BACnet and which vendors were chosen.
