- Abstract
The article presents a study which revealed the association between virulence factors and clinical course of escherichia coli (E. coli) mastitis. Mastitis caused by E. coli is common in lactating dairy cows and considered as an opportunistic pathogen that originates from a contaminated environment. The researchers used analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson's chi square test in investigating the associations between the clinical course of mastitis, milk N-acetyl-ß-D-glucosaminidase (NAGase) milk activity and lactation stage.
